Caring for your jewellery

Here are some useful hints and tips to help you care for your jewellery and keep it looking beautiful…

      • Regularly clean. You can do this using an impregnated polishing cloth, found at most jewellers. Please take care not to rub too much over the print, as this may result in a loss of detail.
      • Last on, first off. To avoid contact with perfume, hairspray and household chemicals try to ensure your jewellery is the last thing you put on when getting ready and the first thing you take off when going to bed!
      • Keep dry. Always remove your jewellery when showering or swimming. Contact with chlorine may cause permanent damage and dis-colouration.
      • Store lovingly. Always store your jewellery in it’s box or an air-tight container to help avoid tarnishing.

Ickle Pickle Prints individually designs and creates each item of jewellery so no two pieces are the same. Handcrafted jewellery may contain small nicks or scratches, which are a characteristic of this product and adds to it’s unique handmade charm.

Items from our engraved range are designed to be kept as a keepsake or are for wear on an occasional basis. Because each piece is surface engraved it does mean that if worn regularly there is a likelihood it may get rubbed or knocked which could cause the print to fade and become scratched resulting in loss of detail on the print.

Please note, we are unable to remake jewellery free of charge if an item becomes damaged due to eventual wear and tear. We do however keep your prints on file and can therefore make up new or additional pieces of jewellery for you at any stage.
